Dr. Soza Baban is a molecular medicalmicrobiologist with high specialization in hospital infection control and prevention and biomolecular science.

I have awarded:

1- MSc. degree in Molecular Medical Microbiology at the University of Nottingham, Center for Biomolecular Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health, Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, Nottingham, UK,

My research study focused on molecular signalling of quorum sensing in Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Publication in Press). 

2- PhD. degree in Molecular Medical Microbiology with distinction at the University of Nottingham, Center for Biomolecular Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health, Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, Nottingham, UK.

My research study focused on the virulence of the human hypervirulent UK-outbreak hospital strain of Clostridium difficile infection in UK.

I have done pioneering diagnostic laboratory work on the virulence of Clostridium difficile infection as part of a large programme of work funded by the UK Medical Research Council (MRC) and the European Union under the 7th European Framework Hyperdiff Clinical Program. This has let to two major and original publications. 

I had awarded four medical Research Fellowships:

  1. Federation of European Microbiology Society (FEMS) to work in the laboratory of Dept. de Microbiologie, Faculte of Pharmacie, Universite Paris de Sud in France (2009-2010).
  2. Children hospital of Sheffield - Infection control unit (2014-2015). 
  3. European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious diseases (ESCMID) at Septic Surgery department at Charité - University Medicine Berlin (2017 - 2018)
  4. University Clinic of Bonn- Infection control Unit (2018 - 2019).
