The Directorate of Quality Assurance at Hawler Medical University was established in 2009. The directorate overlooks issues related to quality assurance and accreditation in the educational system.
Specific activities:
Develop an overall strategic plan for quality assurance, and accreditation to assist in improving the quality of the academic programs and that of their graduates.
Oversee the continuing medical education, teacher portfolio and faculty evaluation by students.
Ensure that the process and achievement of quality within the standards nationally and internationally and that the quality of learning opportunity, research and community involvement are appropriate and fulfill the expectations of the range of stakeholders.
