The directorate is composed of 4 staff members. The directorate is responsible for the following activities:

• Assist in preparation of the yearly postgraduate studies plan
• Assist in implementation of postgraduate studies plan through the four colleges
• Draft university orders for sending faculty members and university/faculties staff to participate in training and conferences
• Assist in management of the application for scholarships and processing of scholarships
• Draft correspondence related to approval process of degrees obtained outside the country
• Assist in management of the IRI (Iraqis Re-building Iraq) program
• Statistical data collection from colleges
• Follow up of correspondences with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
