Welcome to my academic profile page.

I am Dr. Amer Ali Khaleel, and I earned my doctorate in immunology from Hawler Medical University's College of Medicine Medical Microbiology Department. Research pertaining to medical immunology and molecular immunology is something that piques my interest. In order to inspire my students to become lifelong learners, my pedagogical principle is to approach each lecture with enthusiasm, passion, and engagement. My goal, however, is to ensure that the students graduate prepared to lead their respective fields in the future as independent scientists and doctors.

I have published more research in local and international scientific journals.

Research Interests:

I will be excited to explore different research areas in immunology.

  • Immunology is important in understanding disease pathologies like rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes mellitus, and oncology.
  • Immune regulation is like understanding the complexities of the signaling cascade in various immunological cells, or lymphocytes.
  • Comprehending fundamental immunological principles, applicable to bedside situations, is crucial.
  • Role of infection in cancer.

Supervising Undergraduate:

I have supervised different research groups of undergraduate students.

Supervising postgraduate:

I hold a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Medical Immunology from the College of Medicine at Hawler Medical University in Erbil, which is part of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. The thesis title is "Human Leukocyte Antigen Typing, CD36 Gene Polymorphism, and Some Circulatory Biomarkers in Coronary Atheroscleroscopy." Supervisor: Professor Dr. Ruqaya M. Al-Barzinji.

I hold a Master of Science (M. Sc.) degree in Medical Microbiology from the College of Medicine at Hawler Medical University, located in Erbil, Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. Thesis title: Assessment of Procalcitonin as a Proinflammatory Marker and Its Relation with Immunological Markers in Burn Patients. Supervisor: Assistant Professor Dr. Ruqaya M. Al-Barzinji.

Bachelor (B. Sc.) in Biology, College of Science, Salahadden University, Erbil, Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. "Royal Jelly" is the final project presentation. Supervisor: Assistant Lecturer Hana Hasham Shekho.

I obtained my Secondary School Certificate through the Baccalaureate Examination for Secondary Schools (Scientific Section) at Barzani Namr School for Boys, located in Erbil, Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq.
