A workshop was organized by the College of Medicine on the patient safety
at Divan hotel on 24 November 2017 with the participation of 25 faculty and clinical staff. The workshop was facilitated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Modhafar Barzani, the head of Medicine Department. The overall aim of this workshop was to understand the magnitude of the issue of patient safety, try to replaces “the blame and shame game” with an approach known as system thinking in the modern patient safety movement, engage health care professionals in the importance of patient safety for improving care delivery.
