On 23.12.2021 the deanship of college of pharmacy, Hawler medical

university organized the first international workshop 2021 entitled Bioinformatics, Gene (DNA/RNA) analysis, that was attended by the academic staff of Hawler medical university.
The workshop was presented in three sessions by Dr. Ismaeil babaei, Associate Prof. in molecular genetics in the school of natural sciences, Tebriz university, Iran.
In this one-day interactive workshop, 23 academic staff were attended from Colleges of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and health sciences.
The participants were introduced in the workshop to the details of the official website of the National Center for Biotechnology Information NCBI, and how to access to biomedical and genomic information, also advance searching in different darabases: Pubmed, OMIM, Genecard, etc for research purposes.
In addition details were given on Gene, Genebank, ucsc, sequence analysis, sequence alignment (BLAST), and Primer design.
