On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the College of Pharmacy at Hawler Medical University held its first activity of the 2026–2027 academic year.

It marked a new beginning for a new academic year, with new projects and new ideas. During the activity, the projects and new directions planned for this year were introduced to the students. The concept of moving from Input to Output, and ultimately to Impact, was also discussed. This topic was presented by Dr. Bashdar Mahmud Hussen, with the aim of encouraging students not to leave their ideas at the idea stage, but to develop them into real projects and meaningful outcomes.

Throughout the activity, different examples of projects were presented, including research, book writing, videography, digital magazines for social media, as well as several other types of projects. Students were also encouraged to develop their own ideas and begin creating their own projects during this academic year.

At the end of the activity, students took part in a Kahoot Challenge, creating an active and competitive atmosphere, and 10 students were awarded prizes.

This activity marked the beginning of a year in which new ideas, new projects, and efforts to create meaningful impact will form an important part of our students’ activities.
