The College of Nursing at Hawler Medical University announces the successful completion of the doctoral dissertation defense presented by PhD candidate Salih Mustafa Salih within the specialty of Pediatric Nursing.
Under the joint supervision of Professor Dr. Dlir Abdulkhaliq Chalabi and Assistant Professor Dr. Kaify Jamil Qader, the candidate presented his doctoral dissertation titled:
"Effectiveness of an Educational Program on Nurses’ Knowledge and Practice Concerning Infection Control Among Children with Burn Injuries in Erbil City"
The study examined the clinical impact of structured nursing education interventions on enhancing infection control protocols and pediatric care standards for burn-injured pediatric patients within healthcare facilities in Erbil City.
The academic defense took place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Auditorium / Seminar Hall of the College of Nursing before an examining committee comprising distinguished scholars and pediatric specialists:
