Second-year nursing students from Hawler Medical University – College of Nursing conducted a structured educational outreach visit to Golden Student Private School as part of the Growth and Development course requirements. The activity was supervised by Assist. Lect. Chawarwan Saleem. 

Students participated in this activity: Lara Samad, Muhammad gailan, Soma abdulrazzaq Bana sardar

Purpose of the Visit

The initiative aimed to:

• Increase awareness regarding bullying and its various forms

• Examine the psychological and emotional consequences of bullying among school-aged children

• Highlight the impact of unsafe school environments on developmental outcomes

• Promote respectful peer interaction and positive behavioral practices

Educational Focus

The session emphasized the relationship between bullying exposure and:

• Emotional distress and reduced self-esteem

• Social withdrawal and behavioral changes

• Impaired academic performance

• Long-term developmental implications

Students encouraged dialogue, reflection, and collaborative discussion to reinforce the importance of creating inclusive, supportive, and safe educational environments.
