Workshop on Implementing the University System
On four November two thousand twenty-five, the College of Nursing at Hawler Medical University successfully conducted a workshop titled “Implementing the University System.”
The importance of this workshop lies in its role in strengthening academic quality and ensuring consistent, transparent, and modern educational practices across the university. Implementing a unified system aligned with international standards—such as the Bologna Process—supports accreditation efforts, enhances student learning outcomes, and improves institutional accountability. By standardizing course design, assessment procedures, and academic documentation, the workshop contributes directly to elevating educational performance and aligning the College of Nursing with global higher-education frameworks.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Dara Abdulla Albana, with the objective of enhancing faculty awareness and promoting unified application of the Bologna Process across public universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the University Learning Management System, covering key components such as course module design, academic planning, attendance recording, midterm and final grade entry, and monitoring student performance.
The event was supported by Assistant Professor Dr. Vian Al-Naqshbandi, whose preparation and guidance contributed significantly to the success of the workshop.
The College of Nursing extends its sincere appreciation to Assistant Professor Dr. Dara Abdulla Albana for his valuable contributions, dedication, and ongoing efforts to improve the university system and support faculty members in effectively implementing these processes within nursing and midwifery programs.
