The Center for Research and Education in Women's Health (CREWH) organized a workshop today, Sunday, August 16, 2026, titled "Research Perspectives
on Violence Against Women in Kurdistan," held at the Seminar Hall, College of Health Sciences, Hawler Medical University, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The session was led by Prof. Dr. Hamdia Merkhan Ahmed and Dr. Hanan Jawad, who shared research-based insights into the causes, patterns, and impact of violence against women across the Kurdistan Region. The workshop brought together staff, lecturers, and students, fostering academic dialogue and raising awareness on this critical social and public health issue.
