The Medical Research Center at Hawler Medical University organized a comprehensive workshop for
academic staff titled "Whole Genome Sequencing and Introduction to Bioinformatics" on Sunday, 17th November 2024, at 10:00 AM. The event took place in the Seminar Hall, College of Pharmacy, and featured two engaging sessions led by esteemed speakers.
The first session was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Salah Balaky, who provided an overview of whole genome sequencing techniques and their applications in medical research. The second part of the workshop was conducted by Dr. Rozhgar Khailany in collaboration with Ms. Manar F. Ali, focusing on practical insights and applications of bioinformatics in genomic analysis.
This workshop offered participants valuable knowledge and skills in one of the most critical areas of modern research, underscoring the Medical Research Center's dedication to advancing academic and scientific expertise.
