Professional communication skills is necessary for the basic nursing and midwifery care. One of the deficiencies in our nursing and midwifery services in health settings is poor communication. Therefore for understanding the communication concepts and skills among teachers of College of Nursing and translating to students teaching, a symposium was conducted in the College of Nursing at Hawler Medical University on 24 January 2018 with the participation of 40 faculty staff. The symposium included a series of presentations, seminars, and discussions.
