The College of Health Sciences hosted a workshop on Initial Laboratory Safety (GPILS) on April 3rd. Mr. Ahmed Shakir, a teaching assistant and experienced safety trainer, facilitated the workshop. The workshop covered four critical topics related to laboratory safety, including Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical Safety in the Laboratory, Hazardous Waste Management, and Emergency Procedures.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills related to laboratory safety guidelines and best practices. It was attended by students, staff, and faculty members from various departments of the College of Health Sciences.
