This Policy establishes the principles governing external academic and professional activities undertaken by academic staff of Hawler Medical University (HMU).
The Policy aims to:
- ensure compliance with the laws and regulations of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHE);
- protect the quality of teaching, research, and student supervision at HMU;
- prevent conflicts of interest;
- promote transparency and accountability;
- ensure that external activities do not interfere with an employee's duties to the University.
