On Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the Master’s thesis defense of postgraduate student Safiya Basman Akram was held at the College of Dentistry. The thesis was titled:
"Awareness of radiation protection among dental clinics in Kurdistan region (Questionnaire survey and evaluation of exposure dose using film badge)."
The research was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Fidel Andraos Yelda from Hawler Medical University, College of Dentistry.
The examination committee consisted of the following members:
1. Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Ali Mahmoud – Hawler Medical University (Chairman)
2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Adil Jalal – University of Sulaimani (Member)
3. Dr. Rand Shakir Al-Ani – Tishk International University (Member)
Following an in-depth discussion and evaluation, the student successfully defended her thesis and addressed the committee's questions and observations. Consequently, the research was officially approved.
