On Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the Master’s thesis defense of postgraduate student (Noor Abdulrahman Khalis) was held at the College of Dentistry. The thesis was titled:
"Assessment of Biomarkers as Early Diagnostic Indicators for Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus: An Immunological and Molecular Approach"
The thesis was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Hawin Tawfiq Hassan from Hawler Medical University at our college.
The examination committee consisted of the following members:
1. Prof. Dr. Bakhtiar Mohyeddin Ahmed – Hawler Medical University (Retired) – Chairman
2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Lajan Qasim Rahman – Hawler Medical University – Member
3. Asst. Prof. Dr. Rebwar Hama Salih – Salahaddin University – Member
Following an in-depth discussion and evaluation, the student successfully defended her research and addressed the committee's questions and observations. Consequently, the thesis was accepted.
