On Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the College of Nursing at Hawler Medical University, located in Erbil, hosted the formal Master’s thesis defense for candidate Ali Aswad Abdullah within the Department of Paediatric Nursing.
Conducted under the supervision of Professor Dr. Shukir Saleem Hasan, the candidate submitted and defended his Master's thesis titled:
"Risk Factors Associated with Apnea of Prematurity in Erbil City: A Case Control Study"
The research addresses a vital topic in neonatal healthcare and pediatric nursing, investigating the critical risk factors contributing to apnea of prematurity among premature infants within healthcare facilities in Erbil City. Using a case-control design, the study offers valuable epidemiological and clinical insights to enhance preventive nursing measures and improve neonatal outcomes.
