The College of Nursing at Hawler Medical University is pleased to announce the successful completion of the doctoral dissertation defense by PhD candidate Dilkhosh Shamal Ramadhan, from the Department of Community Health Nursing.
Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Mustafa, the candidate successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled:
“Effectiveness of a Nutrition Education Program and Omega-3 Supplementation on Body Weight, Liver Enzymes, and Lipid Profile among Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Patients”
The study was conducted as a randomized controlled trial and examined the effects of a structured nutrition education program and Omega-3 supplementation as separate interventions on body weight, liver enzymes, lipid profile, and sonographic findings among patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
