Building a Successful Pharmaceutical Business
On Sunday, 9 August 2026, the College of Pharmacy, Hawler Medical University hosted the beginning of training course “Building a Successful Pharmaceutical Business.”
The course started with its first session, “Company Registration and Regulatory Affairs,” delivered by Dr. Bayar Ahmed, BSc in Pharmacy and MSc in Clinical Biochemistry, with more than 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, business consultancy, and regulatory affairs.
The event was opened with a speech by Dr. Huner Kamal, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and was honored by the presence of Dr. Ali Abdulrazzak, President of Hawler Medical University at the college of Pharmacy.
The first session focused on the legal and regulatory foundations of establishing and registering a pharmaceutical company, covering:
* Company registration procedures
* Regulatory affairs
* Legal and regulatory requirements
* Required documentation and certifications
* Key regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical sector
Participants gained valuable insights into the practical and professional dimensions of the pharmaceutical business.
This opening marked the beginning of a three-week course designed to broaden students’ understanding of the regulatory, professional, and business dimensions of the pharmaceutical industry, while connecting academic learning with practical experience.
