On Saturday, February 7th, 2026, pharmacy students at Hawler Medical University took a big step forward in their career preparation.
Working with the Kurdistan Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (KPSA), the College of Pharmacy held a hands-on workshop under the title “Career Development in Pharmacy.” The goal was to connect what students learn in class with the skills they’ll need in the real world.
The presenter went beyond basic tips and gave students a clear look into how the industry works. Dr. Bayar broke down what it takes to get a job today, including:
- How to write a standout CV
- How to succeed in job interviews—skills that can shape a career from the start
- He also talked about the business side of pharmacy, such as:
- What medical representatives do
- How drugs are produced
- The sales and marketing skills needed to do well
The activity was packed with useful advice and real plans, helping students move forward with more than just a degree; they now have a clearer path to follow.
Students left the workshop with practical tools and more confidence for their future. Sessions like this are key to building capable, confident future pharmacists.
