Hawler Medical University Hosted International Workshop on Nutrition and Regenerative Medicine

The College of Health Sciences/Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in collaboration with College of Pharmacy at Hawler Medical University hosted an international workshop entitled “Nutrition and Regenerative Medicine” on 13 January 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Seminar Hall of the College of Pharmacy.

The workshop was chaired by Assist. Prof. Rundk Ahmad Hwaiz, Head of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, College of Health Sciences. The keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Heiner P. Woltering, Head of the P.R.O. – Outpatient Department for Orthopaedic Regeneration in Münster, Germany, Founder of AlignNova, and Medical-Scientific Director of the AlignNova Academy.

The event focused on the emerging role of nutrition in regenerative medicine, emphasizing the shift from conventional curative approaches toward regenerative and preventive healthcare strategies. Participants discussed current scientific evidence, clinical applications, and future directions in regenerative health supported by nutritional interventions.

This international workshop contributed to strengthening academic collaboration between local and international institutions and reflected Hawler Medical University’s commitment to advancing scientific research, interdisciplinary education, and global engagement in modern healthcare.
