Kurdistan Forum for Inclusive Employment and Economy Held

On, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the Kurdistan Forum for Inclusive Employment and Economy took place with the presence of government officials, university representatives,

Mr. Matthias Veller, Deputy Consul General of Germany, the Consul of South Korea, company representatives, and Dr. Yara Barzanji, Director of the Kurdistan Foundation.

As part of this event, representing the Career Development Center (CDC) at Hawler Medical University alongside several of our esteemed center coordinators from various colleges, we actively participated in the forum’s activities.

The forum was organized by the Kurdistan Foundation with support from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The primary objectives were:

 * Strengthening the private sector and creating decent job opportunities for youth

 * Promoting inclusive employment and revitalizing the economic infrastructure of the Kurdistan Region

In another section of the forum, discussions centered on the importance and formulation of future employment policies. Furthermore, it was emphasized that inclusive employment is a key driver for fostering economic development and social cohesion by unlocking the hidden potential of individuals within society.
