The Quality Assurance (QA) unit is part of the HMU QA system. We are responsible for ensuring the overall quality of the MRC and all research activities carried out within it, including the research staff. All departmental activities are bound and governed by the QA system, including any decisions made by higher bodies within the MRC.
We guide and help the research staff to reach their potential and align their work to international standards. To accomplish this, we arrange workshop sessions to train them on new and existing research techniques, and the use of new research tools and technologies. We also arrange seminars for them (and researchers alike at other institutes within HMU) to broaden their research horizon and help them to venture into new research fields.
Additionally, we provide information and arrange training sessions for the MRC research staff about Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and the recognised health and safety, and ethical rules governing the conduct of clinical and non-clinical studies, to ensure the quality, integrity and reliability of any research conducted at the MRC. These guidelines are published and distributed as a research quality control guide.
We are also involved in the inspection and auditing of laboratory tools and facilities, as well as monitoring research data and reports to ensure GLP compliance.
If you are interested in giving a seminar or organize any course, workshop, or training please contact us.
