On Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the Master’s thesis defense of postgraduate student (Mohammed Junaidi Dhahir) was held at the College of Dentistry. The thesis was titled:
"Evaluation of Some Mechanical Properties of a New Geometry of Stainless Steel Wire: A Finite Element Study"
The thesis was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Shaho Ziyad Talabani from Hawler Medical University at our college.
Notably, the novel wire geometry evaluated in this research was granted a patent of innovation. Furthermore, one of the scientific articles derived from this thesis has been published in the official journal of the Japanese Orthodontic Society (Clinical and Investigative Orthodontics).
The examination committee consisted of the following members:

Following a comprehensive discussion and evaluation of the thesis, the student successfully addressed the questions and remarks raised by the committee, and the research was officially approved.
