On Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the Master’s thesis defense of the postgraduate student (Zeena Azad Abdulrahman) was held at the College of Dentistry. The thesis was titled:
"ANTIBACTERIAL EFFICACY OF LACTUCA SERRIOLA AS A ROOT CANAL IRRIGANT"
The thesis was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Niyaz Hama Gharib Hama Saeed from Hawler Medical University at our college.
The examination committee consisted of the following members:
1. Prof. Dr. Bestoon Mohammed Faraj – University of Sulaimani (Chairman)
2. Prof. Dr. Diyar Khalid Bakir – Hawler Medical University (Member)
3. Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdulla Salih Ismael – Salahaddin University (Member)
Following a thorough discussion and evaluation, the student successfully defended her research and addressed the committee's questions and observations. Consequently, the thesis was approved.
