Hawler Medical University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kurdistan High Council for Medical Specialties, marking an important step toward enhancing academic and clinical collaboration.
On Monday, 25 May 2026, Professor Dr. Ali Abdulrazzaq Al-Dabagh, President of Hawler Medical University, accompanied by the University Vice Presidents and the Director of Academic Relations, visited the Kurdistan High Council for Medical Specialties. The delegation was warmly received by Professor Dr. Ariana Sheikh Khalis Jawad, President of the Council.
The visit aimed to strengthen coordination between the two institutions in the development of academic and clinical activities. Key areas of cooperation include advancing academic programs, supporting research development, exchanging information and expertise, and organizing joint conferences and workshops, as well as collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the visit, Professor Dr. Ali Abdulrazzaq Al-Dabagh presented the shield of the Presidency of Hawler Medical University to Professor Dr. Ariana Sheikh Khalis Jawad, in recognition of the growing partnership and mutual commitment to advancing medical education and professional training in the region.
This agreement reflects the shared vision of both institutions to promote excellence in medical education, research, and clinical practice across the Kurdistan Region and beyond.
