In the presence of Prof. Dr. Bassam Karim Amin, Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hemen Mohsen Sulaiman, Assistant Dean, and a number of faculty members of Hawler Medical University, a specialized workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) was conducted on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
The workshop was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Luqman Qadir Rawandzi under the title:
“How to Use NotebookLM: The Best AI Application for Academicians”
The workshop was organized as part of the College’s preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year, with the aim of enhancing the scientific and academic level of faculty members and improving the teaching and learning process through the effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly NotebookLM.
The workshop focused on practical approaches to utilizing AI tools to support teaching and learning, academic research, information organization, and other academic activities. It also highlighted the effective use of modern AI technologies by academicians and demonstrated how these tools can contribute to improving academic productivity and continuous professional development.
This workshop represents an important step toward strengthening the technological and academic capabilities of our faculty members and students, keeping pace with modern technological developments, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation at the College of Dentistry.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Bassam Karim Amin, Dean of the College of Dentistry, presented a certificate of appreciation to Assist. Prof. Dr. Luqman Qadir Rawandzi in recognition of his valuable contribution, for conducting the workshop, sharing beneficial knowledge and practical insights, and supporting the academic development of the College’s faculty members and administrators.
